With careful consideration of the journey from the month of January to December, I recommend you exercise yourself in the following:
1. Thanksgiving- Thank God!
There's a whole lot to thank the Shaddai for.
Just like the Psalmist, you can confess
" If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
Certainly, It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
2. Evaluation: Conduct a self-check up.
It will be awesome to spare sometime for a self assessment.
Spiritual, Ministry, Career, Academics, Business, Relationship, Finance, Personal Growth, Mental Investment... name it; assess yourself in these areas.
For example, ask yourself the following questions. This year- How far? how well? Am I better or otherwise? Any improvement, and to what extent? How many books have I read? How many have I not finished? And so on. Assess yourself earnestly and honestly.
3. Appreciation- Do say thank you.
Just as you've been part of others' journey this year, others have been part of yours too.
Take out sometime to appreciate them. ''No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks mused Saint Ambrose.
4. Preparation and Planning- Set out for the new.
"Spectacular achievement is always preceded by spectacular preparation"~ Robert Schuller.
Look ahead and adequately prepare for the coming year. Engaging the Divine in your preparation and Planning is sacrosanct.
5. Prophetic Prayers- Engage the Divine.
From the Spiritual stand point, the coming year is calculated time space; an episode of time and a scene yet to be acted.
By Prophetic prayers and proclamations -red hot one; you can partner with the Omniscient to shape the year for best.
Wishing you God's best in the coming year!
You are blessed!
